(those jpeg tiles you see around the social networks) is worth 
more shares than quotes in status lines. This is because those 
tiles catch our attention with their color and size. So if you’re 
going to use these or create some of your own make sure 
the text is large enough to be read easily. If people have to click 
on it to make it out…well that’s not always going to happen. 
My number one rule in any marketing, make it easy for people 
to discover, share, buy, etc.

Why do we visit a new place when we go on vacation? We like a change of scenery of course, but we are also looking for a new experience.

These days most places are just like home. Anywhere in the world you can find a Starbucks or McDonalds. From the French Rivera to Japan you encounter the same places, so your experience isn’t as varied as you might like. But when you discover the real Japan or French Rivera, when you find those places that you wouldn’t find anywhere else you want that experience to last.

In order to offer your customers just such an experience you have to be you. Yes, you. You have to think like the unique person you are and come up with your own ideas. Here some tips to get you started.

Create your own unique Twitter and Facebook pages. These days you can put your own stamp on pages. Get creative. What unique buttons can you add? How can you make your customer’s experience unique?

Offer your customers a journey into your world. Maybe you love music or art. Find creative ways to weave your passions into your pages. Don’t just share a link to your favorite song with a sales message; if you own a computer business draw them in with “Remember when this was a hit? Computers took up whole rooms.” If you own a flower shop and have a love of art share paintings of flowers. Post some info on the link about the artist and flowers in the painting. Share your passion. Use what is unique about you to create a richer experience on your pages.

What does your customer want to experience? Is it a relaxed atmosphere or an upbeat one at your restaurant? Maybe they want to feel safe and you have the perfect lock for them or they need a boost of confidence which they can find by wearing your well-made suits. Give them a taste of this on your Facebook and Twitter pages. You can write great copy or you can discover other ways to create an experience your customers will be sure to enjoy.

When you customers enjoy themselves they stick around and want to be a part of your community. They will also want more of what they experience online which can lead to them buying your products and services. So share a little of yourself and be sure to have fun too.
